Self employment programs are provided to the women with disabilities keeping in view their special needs. These programs will be undertaken to rehabilitate the abandoned target group by encouraging them to gain employment skills. Empowerment of women is a process of capacity building, leading to a grater participation, greater decision making power and control to transformative action.
On completing Tailoring and Handicraft Training at OEI, they will be home artisans and get work from OEI. They also takes orders from their neighborhood and earn regular income. Training at Operation Equip India has made a huge impact in their life and people around them look at them with respect and dignity.
