Ramiza Nazeersab Angadi is a 17 year old from a village called Thimsagar. She lost her parents within a span of 3 months to AIDS when she was just 13 years old. Ramiza and her younger brother were taken in by their uncle and tested for HIV. They were not informed of the test result. For months, they were treated with contempt by their aunt and much of the community. Ramiza withdrew into herself, discontinuing her studies. She stopped meeting friends and relatives and was boycotted by her peers. She believed she was HIV positive.
